Merchants of Kaidan

Merchants of Kaidan suggests a trading game first, and that means menus, routes, prices, and the slow work of building up a business rather than chasing reflexes. By our assessment, that kind of game is usually at its best when each choice has a clear cost, because the fun comes from planning and watching small margins matter. Its weakness is also built in: merchant sims can become repetitive if the loop never opens into something richer than buying low and selling high. In practice, the pleasure is in the steady rhythm of managing inventory and deciding where to send goods next. Compared with action-heavy games, it sits on the quieter, more analytical side of the field. Merchants of Kaidan will make sense to players who enjoy trade systems and patient optimization, while anyone looking for combat or spectacle should look elsewhere.
