Megaquarium

Megaquarium is for players who enjoy running a public aquarium as a system: tanks, species, staffing, visitor flow, and the small failures that happen when one part is ignored. By our assessment, its real strength is that it turns zoo-style management into something calm and legible, with enough moving pieces to stay interesting without becoming a spreadsheet parade. The limitation is that the fun comes from planning and tidying, so people who want action or open-ended spectacle may bounce off it. In play, it has that satisfying feeling of placing the right tank, stocking it properly, and watching the whole building settle into order. Compared with bigger management games, it is narrower but clearer, and that clarity is part of its appeal. The ceiling is the same one many management sims hit: once the systems are understood, the challenge becomes more about efficiency than surprise.
