Megaloot is a loot-driven game built around picking gear, stacking effects, and squeezing value out of whatever drops next. By our assessment, its hook is the pleasure of watching small upgrades and odd combinations snowball into a stronger build. The trade-off is that this kind of game can become a numbers-and-menu loop if the item hunt does not keep surprising you. In play, it is the sort of system where one good drop can reshape the run, and one bad stretch can stall it. Compared with bigger action RPGs, Megaloot sounds more stripped down and more focused on item economy than on story or worldbuilding. The ceiling is how much variety its loot table and build paths really have.
