Mars: War Logs

Mars: War Logs is a third-person action RPG built around cover shooting, melee scraps, and the usual scavenging for gear on a harsh sci-fi colony. By our assessment, it is strongest when it leans on that scrappy, low-budget space-opera mood, with rusty tech and a survival story on a red planet. The combat and movement feel ordinary rather than sharp, and the design never quite hides its rough edges. In practice it is the sort of game where you keep pushing forward for the setting and the constant sense of making do. Compared with bigger action RPGs, it feels smaller and more linear, with less polish and less room to wander. Mars: War Logs is for players who can live with that modest scale, and it is less convincing if they want a deep systems game or a very smooth action loop.
