March of Empires

March of Empires is a mobile strategy game built around bases, alliances, and long waits between decisions. By our assessment, it works best when you want empire building in a persistent online map rather than quick tactics. The good part is the familiar loop of upgrading, collecting, and coordinating with other players; the weak point is that this kind of game leans hard on timers, pressure to keep up, and the usual free-to-play grind. In practice it is more about routine management and clan politics than about neat battle turns. Compared with cleaner turn-based strategy games, it asks for more patience and more tolerance for monetization. The plain reason to pick it is the social empire layer; the reason not to is if you want a game that respects short sessions and keeps the menus light.
