Maquette

Maquette stands out by folding the same space into itself again and again, so doors, rooms, and objects become part of the puzzle in a way most first-person games never try. By our assessment, it is for players who like environmental puzzling and a more reflective pace rather than combat or reflex tests. The real strength is the central idea, because the changing scale gives ordinary objects a surprising role and makes each area feel like a small mental trick. The downside is that this kind of elegance can also leave the rest of the game feeling light if someone wants long systems or lots of mechanical variety. In practice, it asks for observation and a willingness to experiment with perspective, which gives it a thoughtful, slightly fragile feel. It sits closer to artful puzzle adventure than to traditional action, and the whole thing depends on whether the central premise clicks for the player. На нашу оцінку, Maquette ценится прежде всего за саму идею, а не за ширину набора механик.
