Maize

Maize is a first-person puzzle-adventure for players who want odd humor and environmental riddles more than combat. By our assessment, its biggest strength is the premise itself: you spend time moving through a strange farm-lab world that keeps turning ordinary objects and spaces into puzzle material. The downside is that this kind of game depends on mood and curiosity, and its comedy and surreal setting will not land for everyone. In practice it is the sort of adventure where progress comes from looking closely, trying interactions, and accepting that the game is being playful on purpose. Against similar first-person puzzle games, Maize stands out for being stranger and lighter in tone than the usual serious mystery. It is a better fit for people who enjoy wandering, environmental jokes, and compact puzzle design than for anyone after action or a heavy story. The whole thing lives on its strange setup and the willingness to keep that setup intact.
