MSI Electric City: Core Assault is the sort of branded game that usually exists to wrap a company world or campaign around simple play, and the hook is the name itself. By our assessment, its strength would come from a clear, arcade-like loop and the instant recognition that MSI fans may get from the branding. The downside is that promotional games often have a narrow ceiling: they can be neat for a moment and then run out of ideas if the mechanics stay basic. In practice, this kind of title tends to be about quick inputs, flashy presentation, and not much patience for long sessions. Against the rest of the category, it sounds more like a tie-in than a deep standalone game.
