MORDHAU

MORDHAU is a medieval melee game for players who want swords, shields and ugly close-range fights rather than tidy heroics. By our assessment, its main strength is the combat itself: timing, spacing and weapon weight matter, so duels can feel clumsy in a good, physical way. The trade-off is that this style can be punishing, noisy and hard to read when a match fills up, especially if someone wants a clean competitive loop. In practice it is the kind of game where positioning and awareness matter more than flash, and where mistakes are paid for immediately. It sits closer to first-person brawlers and melee sandboxes than to polished arena shooters. MORDHAU should interest people who like messy medieval combat and can tolerate learning by failure; it is a poor fit for anyone wanting calm spectacle or a gentle entry point. The ceiling is high only if the player accepts that the roughness is part of the design, not a side effect.
