METAL SLUG 3

METAL SLUG 3 is all about fast, readable run-and-gun play: moving, shooting, throwing grenades, and learning enemy patterns while the screen fills with chaos. By our assessment, it still works because it keeps the series’ arcade snap and comic attitude without asking for long setup or heavy systems. The trade-off is the usual one for this style: harsh difficulty, very little forgiveness, and a lot of repetition if the same stage keeps knocking you out. In practice it feels sharp and immediate, with chunky sprites, busy set pieces, and that constant pressure to react first and think later. Among shooters it sits closer to a pure arcade cabinet than to a modern campaign shooter, so there is less room for planning and more for reflexes. It suits players who want short, intense runs and do not mind being beaten back by the game itself.
