Luxor is a marble-shooter, the old arcade puzzle style where colored balls roll along a track and the player fires matching shots to stop them before they reach the end. By our assessment, the appeal is immediate and very readable: the rules are simple, the feedback is quick, and the pressure ramps up in a clean, rhythmic way. The downside is built into the genre, because once you know the loop, the thrill comes from speed and pattern control rather than from variety. In practice it is the sort of game that feels best in short bursts, with a lot of eye-hand focus and not much downtime between decisions. Luxor sits alongside other classic match-and-shoot arcade puzzlers, and it earns its place by being easy to grasp and hard to coast through. It is not trying to be a deep strategy game, and that clarity is part of why it lasts.
