Lost Patrol

Lost Patrol asks for patience more than reflexes. By our assessment, it is a tactical survival game about leading a stranded patrol across hostile ground, so the point is planning routes, managing pressure, and keeping people alive rather than chasing spectacle. That kind of setup can be tense in a good way, because every step matters and the situation stays readable. The downside is that older tactical games of this sort can feel slow and unforgiving, especially when movement and attrition do most of the work. In practice it is the sort of game where mistakes linger and progress has a weight to it, which some players like and others find tiring. It sits between strategy and survival, not as a big systems playground but as a lean, harsh scenario. Lost Patrol is best for someone who enjoys careful decisions under pressure and not for someone wanting quick action or constant variety.
