Linea, the Game

Linea, the Game is one of those abstract puzzle titles that asks for patience more than quick reflexes, and that is also where its appeal lives. By our assessment, the interesting part is the clean logic of tracing paths and matching patterns rather than any heavy theme or story. The downside is that abstraction can make it feel dry if the loop does not click quickly, because there is not much else to lean on. In practice, this kind of game tends to be about careful attention, small decisions, and learning the shape of the rules by doing them again. It sits beside minimalist logic games more than beside flashy puzzle adventures, and that puts a clear ceiling on the audience. Linea, the Game is for people who enjoy stripped-down systems and do not need decoration around them. Once the pattern is understood, the remaining challenge is mostly in staying focused.
