Light Bearers

Light Bearers is the sort of title that suggests a fantasy role, and that is where most of its appeal comes from. By our assessment, it sounds like a game built around carrying light, guiding a group, or using illumination as part of the mechanics, which points toward a more symbolic or puzzle-minded design than a loud action one. That kind of premise can be neat when the rules are tied to the theme. The problem is that, with a name like this, there is not much concrete public material to lean on, so the safe judgment stays modest. In practice it likely lives or dies on whether its central idea is clear in play and whether the visual language supports it. It sits closer to indie thematic games than to mainstream blockbusters, and anyone looking for a strongly defined system should be cautious. Light Bearers is one of those cases where the concept is more legible than the evidence around it.
