Let Them Come

Let Them Come is a small arena shooter built around surviving waves and keeping pressure on the screen under control. By our assessment, it does that one job well: the appeal is in fast target switching, weapon handling, and the clean push-pull between crowd control and staying alive. The downside is that there is not much else in the box once the loop is learned, so repetition arrives quickly if the basic wave rhythm does not click. In practice it feels direct and busy, with short runs and very little story weight getting in the way. Compared with larger shooters, it is more stripped down and arcade-like, and that is the point. It fits players who want brief, sharp sessions rather than a long campaign, and it asks for little patience with setup but some tolerance for replaying the same basic idea.
