Late Shift

Late Shift is a live-action choice game built for people who want a film-like story where decisions push scenes in different directions. By our assessment, its main strength is the format itself: real actors, quick branching, and a pace that keeps moving like an interactive thriller. The downside is also built into that format, because the game has limited mechanical depth and can feel more like steering a video than playing in the usual sense. In practice it asks for attention to dialogue and timing rather than combat or exploration. Compared with bigger narrative games, it is lighter and more compact, and the appeal is mainly in watching the story respond. It is strongest when you want a short branching drama rather than a system-heavy game.
