LYNE

LYNE is a minimalist puzzle game built around drawing lines between matching points, so it is for people who like quiet spatial rules more than story or spectacle. By our assessment, its real strength is the clean presentation: you learn the pattern of each board quickly, then spend your attention on reading the whole shape of the puzzle. The limit is equally clear, because the idea is elegant but narrow, and the game depends on whether that one mechanic keeps feeling fresh to you. In practice it has the calm, concentrated pace of a mobile puzzle, with very little clutter between you and the grid. It sits near other restrained logic games rather than flashy puzzle boxes, and it is strongest when a player enjoys short sessions and repeating pattern recognition. When the same type of board no longer feels interesting, there is not much else for it to lean on.
