LIZARDS MUST DIE

LIZARDS MUST DIE sounds like a joke title, but as a game it points to the kind of action project that uses a loud name to promise direct, aggressive play. By our assessment, that sort of setup usually works best when it keeps things simple: clear enemies, a strong pace, and a style that does not ask for much patience before it gets to the fighting. The downside is obvious for a game built this way, because a shouty surface can only carry so much if the mechanics do not have enough bite underneath. In practice, this kind of game tends to feel immediate and a little rough, with more interest in momentum than in polish. Compared with larger action games, LIZARDS MUST DIE sits closer to a punchy indie mood than to a refined blockbuster structure. It will appeal more to players who want blunt action than to anyone looking for deep systems or a carefully layered world.
