Knights and Merchants

Knights and Merchants is a real-time strategy game that focuses on building settlements, managing resources, and keeping a medieval economy moving. By our assessment, it appeals to players who prefer slow, practical planning over flashy combat, because the interesting part is often the supply chain between woodcutters, farms, workshops, and soldiers. Its good point is that the town life feels busy and connected, so the map has more of a working economy than a pure battlefield. The downside is that its pace can be slow and its interface belongs to an older era of strategy design, which asks for patience. In play, it feels like a chain of small jobs that must keep feeding one another, and one break in the chain can matter a lot. Compared with bigger RTS games, it is less about micromanaged combat and more about keeping people and materials moving. По нашей оценке, Knights and Merchants интересна именно этой хозяйственной стороной, а не скоростью.
