Killing Floor: Incursion

Killing Floor: Incursion tries to make the series’ close-quarters monster shooting work in VR, and that alone tells you the appeal: pressure, manual handling, and being surrounded. By our assessment, it is for players who want a horror-leaning shooter where reloads, movement, and spatial awareness matter more than comfort. The best part is the physicality of VR, because aiming and surviving feel more immediate than they do on a flat screen. The downside is also tied to VR: if the motion or the fuss of handling weapons is tiring, the whole game can become hard work. In practice it is about clearing spaces, reloading under pressure, and keeping track of threats coming from close range. Compared with the regular Killing Floor formula, it is smaller in scope and more demanding of tolerance for headset play. Killing Floor: Incursion is interesting where VR friction adds to the tension, not where it gets in the way.
