KIDS

KIDS is a short experimental game about group movement, bodies, and how people drift with or against the crowd. By our assessment, what makes it work is its blunt visual idea and the way it turns simple motion into a sense of pressure and conformity. The downside is that it is very slight, so if you want long systems, challenge, or a clear objective, there is not much to hold onto. In practice it plays more like an interactive art piece than a conventional game, and that is exactly why it lands for some people and not for others. Against bigger indie titles, it is tiny, but its identity is sharper than many longer works. KIDS is worth looking at if you want a compact experiment, and it will not satisfy anyone who needs depth in the usual game sense.
