Journey of a Roach

Journey of a Roach stands out because it turns a cockroach into the center of a puzzle game, which is a neat fit for players who like odd little premises. By our assessment, its charm comes from the point-and-click style of moving through spaces, solving obstacles, and making a tiny character feel surprisingly purposeful. The trade-off is that this kind of game can be slow and very specific in its logic, so it depends on whether the puzzles click with you. In practice that means careful clicking, observation, and a bit of trial and error rather than quick action. It sits alongside small adventure-puzzle games rather than big narrative adventures, and it is remembered more for its idea than for scale. Journey of a Roach is best for people who enjoy compact logic puzzles and quirky presentation, while anyone wanting broad action will probably want something else.
