Jigsaw Bestiary

Jigsaw Bestiary puts two familiar pleasures together: assembling pieces and learning a catalogue of creatures. By our assessment, that is a neat hook for players who enjoy picture puzzles, monster-book logic, or both at once. The limit is obvious too: once the idea is clear, the game has to keep finding new ways to make each image or creature worth solving. In practice, the appeal would come from fitting fragments, recognising shapes, and seeing the bestiary fill out one entry at a time. It sits in the small space between a jigsaw game and a collecting game, with more patience than action. Jigsaw Bestiary makes sense for people who like methodical, tactile puzzle work and do not mind repetition when the pattern is the reward.
