Iron Sky: Invasion asks for patience, because it is built around space combat and the slow business of moving through a licensed sci-fi world rather than around instant spectacle. By our assessment, its main strength is the fantasy of piloting through that setting and doing the kind of mission-based fighting the title promises. The obvious trade-off is that these games can feel stiff if the controls, mission structure, or enemy variety do not land well. In practice it is the sort of game where the mood and premise carry a lot of the weight. Compared with bigger space simulators, it sounds more focused and less sprawling, but also less likely to offer endless depth. It is for players who care about the theme and the act of flying in it, not for people who want a broad sandbox.
