Iron Lung

Iron Lung is a compact horror game built around pressure, distance, and very little room for comfort. By our assessment, it is strongest for players who want dread created by navigation and isolation rather than long combat systems or big set pieces. The game’s real trick is how much fear it can pull out of a cramped vehicle, a map, and the knowledge that the water outside is the enemy. That narrow setup is also the limit: once the premise lands, there is not much room for variety, and it depends heavily on mood. In play it sounds tense, spare, and more about listening, moving carefully, and staying oriented than about action. Compared with broader horror games, Iron Lung is a small, sharp piece rather than a long-form ride, and that makes it memorable in a very particular way.
