Intravenous 2: Mercenarism

Intravenous 2: Mercenarism leans hard into the tense, top-down stealth-shooter style, where careful movement and sudden violence matter more than spectacle. By our assessment, the series name already signals a very particular mood: grim, tactical, and interested in making every corridor feel dangerous. The upside is the same thing that defines the genre well, which is that deliberate sneaking and sharp bursts of action can feel intensely focused when they work. The downside is that this kind of game asks for patience with alarms, line of sight, and repeated attempts at a clean approach, so it is not built for casual drifting. In practice it is about timing, angle, and restraint until the moment it is not. It sits closer to hardcore stealth-action than to run-and-gun shooting, and that narrow lane is exactly what gives it its identity.
