Interstellar Rift

Interstellar Rift is for people who want to build and run a spaceship rather than merely fly one. By our assessment, its strongest idea is the modular ship construction and the room-by-room upkeep that turns the vessel into a working machine, not a backdrop. That makes it more hands-on than many space games, because the act of planning the ship is part of the play, not just the preparation for it. The downside is that this kind of freedom also demands patience, since managing systems, space, and roles can become fiddly. In practice it has the feel of a long, technical sandbox where co-op crews or solo builders can spend time on layout as much as on travel. Compared with action-first space games, it sits closer to ship management and engineering than to arcade exploration. Interstellar Rift suits players who enjoy tinkering with compartments, power, and logistics, and it does not try to hide that work behind spectacle.
