Inferna

Inferna reaches for action-RPG spectacle with a dark fantasy coat of paint, but the important question is whether the systems underneath feel sturdy enough to carry that look. By our assessment, the draw is the familiar loop of combat, character growth, and loot-driven progression that genre fans look for first. The obvious trade-off is that this kind of game lives or dies on responsiveness, balance, and how much of the world feels handcrafted instead of assembled from genre parts. In play, that usually means lots of repeated fights, chasing better gear, and learning whether the combat has enough weight to stay interesting. Against bigger action RPGs, Inferna sits in the crowded middle where presentation matters as much as mechanics. It is the sort of game people notice if they want the genre shape itself; if they want strict novelty, the appeal is thinner.
