Indivisible

Indivisible mixes platforming, light exploration, and turn-based party combat into a game that is always busy with ideas. By our assessment, its biggest strength is the hand-drawn look and the way it pulls from action-RPG and Metroidvania habits without feeling like a copy of either. The downside is that all that motion can make the structure feel busy rather than clean, and the battle system asks for attention that not every player will want to give. In practice it feels like a game of movement between fights, with the combat menus and timing doing much of the heavy lifting. It sits somewhere between character action, RPG, and exploratory platformer, which is interesting but also means it does not fit neatly into one box. People who like experiments with combat systems and a busy screen will get more from it than someone wanting a simple, plain run through a world.
