In Stars And Time

In Stars And Time makes time loops feel personal, and that is what sets it apart from the many other story-heavy RPGs and indie adventure games it might otherwise resemble. By our assessment, its biggest strength is how it uses repetition to change the emotional weight of the same spaces and conversations, so small choices and memory matter more than raw movement. The downside is built in: time-loop storytelling depends on revisiting familiar ground, and that can feel cramped if someone wants constant novelty or a clean straight line through the plot. In practice it is part role-playing game, part character drama, with menu-based play and a lot of dialogue carrying the experience. It sits closer to thoughtful narrative RPGs than to combat-forward dungeon crawlers, and the interest is in persistence, not power. In Stars And Time rewards patience with structure, because the loop itself is the point rather than a gimmick on top of it.
