Impire

Impire is a demon-king fantasy strategy game that sounds like it wants management, minions, and a bit of dark humour more than clean heroic conquest. By our assessment, the strongest hook of a game like this is the fantasy of running an evil side of the map: building, directing underlings, and making a messy power structure work. The downside is that this sort of strategy lives or dies on interface clarity and pacing, because dark-cute ambition can become clutter very quickly if the systems fight the player. It sits somewhere between city management, real-time strategy, and parody fantasy, which gives it identity but also makes it harder to compare cleanly with one neat rival. In practice, games of this shape ask for attention to queues, resources, and positioning rather than big dramatic swings every minute. Impire is more about organizing a crooked little empire than about pure battlefield spectacle.
