Imperial Glory

Imperial Glory is a grand strategy game for players who want armies, borders, diplomacy, and the slow grind of building a state on a campaign map. By our assessment, its attraction is the broad scale: moving forces, managing territory, and watching a war unfold across a large historical board. The downside is that older grand strategy can feel stiff, with interfaces and pacing that ask for more patience than modern rivals. In play it tends to be about plans, counters, and long turns rather than instant excitement, so the appeal comes from structure, not flash. It sits in the older Total War-adjacent space where spectacle and empire management meet, but it is more dated than the better-known leaders of the genre. Imperial Glory is for people who enjoy slow conquest and do not mind that the gears show through.
