Idle Calibur points straight at idle-game design: the loop is about numbers ticking up, upgrades feeding more growth, and progress continuing with limited attention. By our assessment, that is the whole attraction and also the whole limit, because an idle game has to keep its systems clear or it turns into a screen of buttons that all mean roughly the same thing. The practical feel is slow, clicky, and very much about checking back rather than staying glued to the screen. It sits with incremental games, not with active skill-based play, so it asks for patience more than reflexes. Idle Calibur will make sense for people who enjoy watching a build snowball over time, and it will bore anyone who wants moment-to-moment action.
