INDIKA

INDIKA stands out because it is not trying to be a conventional action game at all; it mixes third-person exploration with a very specific religious and psychological tone. By our assessment, that odd fit is the point, and it gives the game a mood that stays with the player longer than a standard puzzle-adventure usually does. The downside is that the experience can feel narrow if someone wants mechanical variety, because the game is much more interested in atmosphere, perspective, and inner conflict than in busy systems. In practice it asks for attention to tone, not just to objectives, and INDIKA sits closer to an artful narrative game than to a straightforward challenge run.
