ICARUS

ICARUS leans on survival crafting with a very specific pressure: weather, oxygen, and the clock are always part of the job. By our assessment, that makes it tense in a way many base-builders are not, because simple errands turn into careful trips with backup plans. The trade-off is that the whole loop can feel like maintenance if the survival side matters more to you than the building or combat. It is a PvE and PvP survival game first, so the minute-to-minute play is about preparation, hauling, and deciding how much risk to carry. Compared with softer sandbox survival games, it is more punishing and more focused on expedition play. The people who usually get something out of ICARUS are the ones who like systems that make every outing count, while anyone wanting a relaxed builder will probably find the upkeep wearing. The storm timer and oxygen management do most of the talking.
