I, Zombie

I, Zombie asks you to play the undead side of the story, which is the whole hook: you are not surviving as a person but spreading the infection as a zombie. By our assessment, that inversion is the thing that makes it memorable, because it turns the usual defense-and-escape logic inside out. The downside is that the premise is so specific that the game has to carry itself on its mechanics, and any weakness there shows quickly. In practice it is more about planning movement and timing than about horror, so the feel is puzzle-like even when the skin is ghastly. It sits apart from conventional zombie games and closer to odd little strategy or action-puzzle ideas. People who like unusual premises and compact play are the natural audience, while anyone wanting a big zombie sandbox should not expect that here.
