Hollywood Merge

Hollywood Merge is built for players who like merge games with a production-line feel, here wrapped in movie-making and studio progress. By our assessment, its main strength is the familiar merge loop: combine items, unlock the next piece, and watch the board slowly open up. The trade-off is the usual one for the genre, because repetition and waiting do a lot of the work once the early novelty fades. In practice it is a calm game of dragging, merging, and making room on a crowded board, which can be soothing or tiresome depending on the mood. It sits among casual merge titles more than among deep simulation games, and its Hollywood theme is mostly a coat of paint over the core loop. Hollywood Merge is for people who enjoy tidy progression and light puzzle management, not for someone looking for big narrative or complex strategy.
