Hollowbody

Hollowbody is survival horror for players who want scavenging, limited resources, and a constant sense of being outmatched. By our assessment, its strength is the familiar horror loop done with a strong, oppressive mood: moving carefully, checking corners, and deciding when to spend a scarce item is the whole tension. That style is good at making ordinary spaces feel unsafe, which is exactly what this genre needs. The cost is that survival horror is often slow and punishing, and it can feel mean if someone wants fast combat or lots of hand-holding. It sits in the old-school end of the genre rather than the action-horror end, and it fits best with players who enjoy pressure, caution, and the work of staying alive.
