Hobo: Tough Life

Hobo: Tough Life is a survival game about living on the street, and it is aimed at players who can handle bleak systems without needing glamour around them. By our assessment, its strength is that it treats hunger, weather, and scavenging as the everyday work of staying alive, so the loop has a harsh, practical texture. That plainness gives it a strong identity, because it is not pretending to be a polished fantasy of hardship; it keeps returning to shelter, food, and basic survival. The downside is also obvious: the mood is rough, the subject matter is heavy, and the game can feel punishing if someone wants comfort or power fantasy. It sits in the survival genre, but with a social edge that makes it less about crafting empires and more about getting through the day. Hobo: Tough Life asks for patience with discomfort, and it stays close to that discomfort the whole way through.
