Hide vs. Seek puts the whole game into a familiar cat-and-mouse loop, where one side hunts and the other survives by movement, timing, and reading the map. By our assessment, that is a strong core because the tension is immediate and everyone understands the goal at once. The limit is also obvious: once the loop is learned, the game depends a lot on level design, balance, and how much variety the modes add. In play, that usually means quick decisions, short bursts of panic, and a lot of attention to sound and sight lines. It sits in the same broad space as stealth and asymmetric party games, and its appeal comes from pressure more than complexity. Hide vs. Seek is best for players who want a direct chase setup rather than a heavy systems game.
