Hexcells Infinite turns nonograms into a cleaner, calmer logic game, and that is exactly why it works. By our assessment, its strength is the way each board teaches you to read the grid without turning the process into busywork, so the appeal is in deduction rather than luck. The downside is that the pleasure is narrow: if grid logic itself does not appeal, there is not much else here to latch onto. In practice it is quiet, precise, and almost meditative, with puzzles that reward careful counting and pattern spotting. Compared with flashier puzzle games, Hexcells Infinite is more stripped down and more focused on one idea. It is a good fit for people who like pure logic systems and do not need story, action, or decoration around them.
