Heroes & Generals

Heroes & Generals tries to be a shooter and a war economy at the same time, which is exactly why it feels unusually busy. By our assessment, the interesting part is the mix of first-person fighting, vehicle use, and long-term faction progress, so a player is not only trading shots but also feeding the larger war effort. The weakness is that this kind of structure can spread itself thin: the battles can feel rough around the edges, and the broader progression asks for more tolerance than a pure action game. In practice it is the sort of game where the front line, loadout, and persistence matter more than any single match. Compared with cleaner competitive shooters, it is more sprawling and less elegant. It fits people who like World War II settings, combined-arms play, and a more layered multiplayer setup, and it will not please someone who wants a tight arena shooter. Heroes & Generals is at its best when the larger war frame gives the firefights some weight.
