Hero Academy

Hero Academy points toward a tactics game, and that already tells most of the story: it is for people who like planning turns, positioning units, and thinking a move ahead. By our assessment, that kind of structure is usually strongest when the rules are clear and the matches stay tense. The trade-off is that tactical play can become slow if someone wants immediate action or constant spectacle. In practice it tends to reward patience, small adjustments, and the habit of reading the board before acting. Compared with louder combat games, Hero Academy sits on the more thoughtful side of the genre, with a ceiling that depends on how much depth the rules actually have.
