Heat is the sort of multiplayer shooter that rewards map sense, timing, and a steady hand more than fancy loadouts. By our assessment, it is strongest when firefights stay close and movement matters, because the whole match turns on reading corners, angles, and other players' habits. Its downside is the usual one for the genre: if you want long progression or a lot of tactical systems, it does not pretend to be that game. In practice it is about short bursts of pressure, quick deaths, and learning where trouble tends to come from. Compared with larger military shooters, Heat sits closer to stripped-down arena action. It fits people who want the match itself to do the work, and not the menu system.
