Harmless Demons

Harmless Demons works because it flips the usual demon idea into something lighter and less threatening. By our assessment, that makes it stand out as a game that can lean into oddness, comedy, or soft horror without needing real cruelty or grim intensity. The name suggests a project that is probably more about mood and character than about punishment, and that can be a strength when the game wants charm instead of menace. The downside of that approach is that it can leave the stakes feeling small if the design does not give those demons a clear job to do. In practice, the title feels like the sort of thing that may be more playful than punishing, more about tone than challenge. It sits closer to quirky indie ideas than to hard-edged horror, and that narrow, wry angle is what gives it value.
