Hammerting

Hammerting is a colony-management game about running a dwarf settlement under a mountain, with mining, crafting, logistics, and long production chains doing the heavy lifting. By our assessment, its strongest point is that it gives the player a real workshop rhythm: ore comes in, goods move through stations, and the whole place has to be fed, defended, and kept productive. The trade-off is familiar to the genre: lots of menus, a lot of waiting on systems to line up, and not much immediate action. In practice it asks for patience more than reflexes, which is fine if the joy comes from watching an economy tick over. It sits closer to Dwarf Fortress-style management than to a light city builder, and Hammerting is for people who enjoy building a machine and then keeping it from stalling.
