Halfway

Halfway asks you to think like a squad leader, not like a lone hero, and that is what gives it its shape. By our assessment, its best quality is the turn-based mix of movement, cover, and morale pressure, which makes every room and corridor feel like a small tactical problem. The downside is that the pace can be deliberate to the point of feeling stiff if you want immediate momentum. In practice it is the kind of game where each step matters and mistakes stay visible for a while. Against faster tactics games, it leans more toward careful positioning than flashy systems. Halfway is worth looking at for players who enjoy compact, disciplined strategy, and it will not suit anyone who wants constant speed or improvisation.
