HOARD is a score-chasing arcade game about grabbing treasure and moving quickly before the map turns hostile. By our assessment, its strength is the simple loop: steal loot, dodge trouble, repeat, with enough pressure to keep each run lively. The downside is that the appeal is narrow, because the whole game lives on repetition and a fairly single-minded objective. In practice it asks for quick decisions and a taste for short sessions where points matter more than story. Compared with bigger action games, HOARD is smaller and more stripped down, and it is honest about that. It is for people who like arcade runs with a clean rule set, and it stays there.
