Gunlocked

Gunlocked strips the twin-stick shooter down to a stripped, auto-aiming form that is easier to read than most bullet-heavy arena games. By our assessment, that makes it a good fit for players who want the movement pressure of a shoot-’em-up without having to wrestle constant manual aiming. Its strength is the clean loop of dodging, positioning, and timing upgrades while the screen fills with threats. The trade-off is obvious: when aiming is simplified, some of the usual precision and improvisation of the genre falls away. In practice it feels busy, sharp, and almost mechanical, with a constant need to keep moving rather than plant yourself and trade shots. It sits neatly among modern arcade shooters that try to reduce friction, and Gunlocked is at its best when the player wants action without much ceremony.
