Grouls

Grouls feels like a small indie horror or monster game that is more about mood, movement, and a strange name than about big systems or polished spectacle. By our assessment, that kind of project can be appealing when it leans into tension and a tight idea, because low-budget creature games often survive on atmosphere, not complexity. The downside is just as plain: if the concept is thin, the whole thing can start to feel like a sketch instead of a full game. In practice this kind of title usually lives or dies on its art direction, sound, and whether the core loop gives the player enough reason to keep going. It sits in the broad space between cheap monster fun and more serious horror, and the name Grouls suggests a rough, stylized creature concept rather than something realistic. That makes it a gamble for people who like odd little genre pieces, and a poor fit for anyone expecting a lot of mechanical depth.
